When the terrorist bomb attack on Easter Day hit Colombo, it sent shockwaves through the country with an immediate devastating cascade effect on the finances of all concerned in the tourist industry as those with trips planned cancelled them and others abandoned plans for future trips.

The Sri Lankans are a resilient race and aided by various imaginative initiatives in England and elsewhere, and no charge for Tourist Visas, the recovery is happening with bookings for 2020 starting to flow again, but there remains a gap to be filled in the later months of 2019 where availability is good at our two villas near Galle.
